THE PLAY GROUNDS” 

As a 2022-2023 Next-Up Playwriting Fellow at Congo Square Theatre, THE PLAY GROUNDS was commissioned for staged readings in Chicago (Congo Square), Denver (Fringe Festival), and Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2023.

THE PLAY GROUNDS is a two-act dark comedy about suidide-prevention
centering Aloe, a disabled, black teenager struggling to overcome his friend's death,
whos childhood friends reunite to reverse his attempt at suicide.
 


REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE

REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE is a Historical Drama,
about the rise and fall of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense.
It reveals the cycle of violence societies have perpetuated against social movements and their leaders.

ONE-ACT PLAYS:

SOUTH BEND” 

South Bend is a ten-minute romantic-tragedy about two bright, black teenagers,
whose lives are upended by the “War on Drugs”. 

QUARAN-TEENS

Quaran-teens is a one-act comedy about three teenage brothers on Chicago’s south side
who form deeper bonds after driving each other mad during their COVID-19 Pandemic Quarantine.
