FOURTH PRO-BLACK ONE ACTS FESTIVAL
AT AFFIRMATION THEATRE COMPANY
On February 26, 2022 Affirmation Theatre Company returned to live theatre with their fourth annual Pro-Black One Acts Festival at The Point in The Bronx, New York City. The Festival featured three plays by emerging Black playwrights, celebrating and exploring the Diaspora: “Raising Junior” by Cris Eli Black, “Black Girls For Real by Monique C. Aldred”, and “How Dare You!” by Kendra Augustin.
How Dare You! is about a couple, six months into their relationship, play a game to figure out if their romance is worth sticking with.

B.B.J. examines examples of cooptation, discrimination, exploitation, festishization, misinformation, tokenization, and intersectional repression within the context of our workplaces, our families, our friends, our relationships, and ultimately, our communities.
